A 53 year old lady, living in urban area with her son and husband was having cough and fever in noon and night and admitted to hospital for 3-4 days because of pleural effusion, she was discharged and was given antibiotic therapy to continue.

After 3 weeks she was admitted in ICU for 1 day and the 4 days in ward because of fever and fluid in her lungs.

While breathing there was no movement on left back side, whereas right back side was moving with each breath.

On Percussion left lung area showed stony texture whereas right ling area was normal.

On auscultation her left lung was not producing sound on breathing while right lung was producing sound.

She was not having, fever, cough.

earlier she was treated for community acquired pneumonia, but because of recurrence she was expected to have community acquired tuberculosis and prescribed DOTS treatment and asked to visit for follow up.
